LPA19 Teflon Lined Ball Valve

LPA19 Teflon Lined Ball Valve

LPA19 Fluorine-Lined Flanged Ball Valve is a heavy-duty isolation valve featuring a fully encapsulated fluoropolymer lining that isolates all wetted metal surfaces from the process media, delivering absolute chemical resistance and zero-leakage shutoff for the most aggressive acids, alkalis, and corrosive fluids.

Product Description

The fluorine-lined flanged ball valve is engineered for severe corrosive environments where standard metallic valves fail. The valve body, ball, and all wetted components are completely lined with PTFE, PFA, or FEP fluoropolymers using a precision high-pressure molding process. This seamless barrier prevents any metal-to-media contact, ensuring immunity to strong acids, bases, and oxidizers across a wide temperature range.

The floating ball design utilizes line pressure to self-energize against the downstream fluoropolymer seat, achieving bubble-tight shutoff. The valve features a robust carbon steel or stainless steel outer shell for structural integrity, combined with standardized ASME/EN flanged connections for easy pipeline integration. Sizes typically range from DN 15 to DN 300, with pressure ratings up to Class 150 / PN 16.

Key Features

  • Total Corrosion Immunity: Full PTFE/PFA/FEP lining on all wetted parts eliminates metal exposure, handling virtually all corrosive chemicals (except molten alkali metals and elemental fluorine).
  • Bubble-Tight Shutoff: Self-energizing floating ball design ensures zero-leakage sealing per API 598 / EN 12266-1.
  • Unobstructed Full-Bore Flow: Smooth, crevice-free internal lining minimizes pressure drop and prevents media stagnation or crystallization.
  • Blowout-Proof Stem: Stem is internally retained to prevent ejection under pressure, ensuring operator safety.
  • Anti-Static Device: Built-in grounding mechanism prevents electrostatic charge buildup in flammable media.
  • Standard Flanged Ends: ASME B16.5 or EN 1092-1 flanges allow direct, leak-free bolt-up to existing piping.
  • ISO 5211 Mounting Pad: Ready for direct installation of pneumatic, electric, or manual actuators.

Typical Applications

  • Chemical & Petrochemical Processing: Transfer and isolation of sulfuric, hydrochloric, nitric, and hydrofluoric acids.
  • Chlor-Alkali & Acid Production: Handling of chlorine gas, caustic soda, and highly corrosive brine solutions.
  • Pharmaceutical & Fine Chemicals: Ultra-pure and corrosive solvent lines requiring zero metallic contamination.
  • Water Treatment & Desalination: Chlorine, ferric chloride, and ozone dosing systems.
  • Mining & Hydrometallurgy: Acid leach and solvent extraction circuits.
  • Pulp & Paper: Chlorine dioxide bleaching and chemical recovery lines.
