Product Description

The centerline soft-seated butterfly valve is a quarter-turn isolation valve designed for reliable on/off and throttling service in a wide range of industrial and municipal applications. It features a disc mounted concentrically on the stem axis, with a resilient elastomeric seat (such as EPDM, NBR, or PTFE) bonded or pressed into the valve body. When the disc rotates 90°, it presses uniformly against the soft seat to achieve a bubble-tight seal. The resilient seat design ensures bi-directional sealing capability, providing zero-leakage shut-off regardless of flow direction. This valve is widely used in water treatment, HVAC, chemical processing, food & beverage, and general industrial piping systems.

Key Features

Bi-Directional Bubble-Tight Shut-Off: The resilient soft seat is engineered to deliver zero-leakage sealing in both flow directions, meeting API 598 / EN 12266 test standards. The elastic seat compensates for minor disc misalignment and wear over time, maintaining long-lasting sealing performance.
Flexible Pipe End Connections: Available in wafer-type and flanged-type configurations to suit various piping layouts. The wafer design offers a compact, lightweight solution clamped between pipe flanges, while the flanged (lug) design provides bolted connections for easy installation, removal, and dead-end service.
No Flange Gaskets Required: The extended resilient seat protrudes slightly beyond the valve body face, forming an integral sealing surface against the mating pipe flanges. This eliminates the need for separate flange gaskets, simplifying installation, reducing inventory of gasket materials, and preventing potential leakage paths at the flange joint.
Compact & Lightweight Design: The centerline concentric structure results in a short face-to-face dimension and low weight, reducing installation space and piping load.
Low Operating Torque: The streamlined disc profile and elastic seat minimize friction, allowing easy operation by hand lever, gear operator, or actuator.
Wide Media Compatibility: Available in various seat and disc materials (EPDM, NBR, PTFE, SS304/316, ductile iron, etc.) to suit water, air, mild chemicals, and food-grade media.
Simple Maintenance: The seat is replaceable without removing the valve body from the pipeline, significantly reducing downtime and maintenance cost.
Versatile Connection Options: Offered in wafer, lug, and flanged end types to match ANSI, DIN, JIS, and BS flange standards.
